Welcome to the Mendip Pubwatch website. The Mendip town's pubwatch schemes have the key aim of achieving a safe, secure and responsibly led social drinking environment in all licensed premises throughout Mendip helping to reduce alcohol-related crime. Mendip Pubwatch supports National Pubwatch and follows it Guidelines.

 

Nothing that Pubwatch does affects the normal social drinker. It is a voluntary trade body with no direct involvement by local authorities nor the police. The right to ban people who behave anti-socially has been upheld in the European Court and there are no Human Rights issues arising from these bans.
